Texo Group Appoints CTO and Forms Innovation Hub

Texo Group, the Integrated Asset Services specialist has formed a new Innovation Hub for the research, development and commercialisation of its current and future technologies.

The engineering and technology group has been created in response to the market need for an experienced and highly skilled multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver tailored and market ready disruptive innovation. iHUB, as it will be known, has already delivered novel inspection robots, advanced sensing solutions and asset management platforms to the market.

iHUB, will be headed by the Group’s new Chief Technology Officer, Professor David Flynn. David will be supported by the iHUB, COO, Mr David Williams, in managing the iHUB portfolio of activities. In addition, John Perry has joined as Technical Project Manager.

David Flynn is a Professor at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. He has an extensive track record of delivering impact to industrial partners, bringing new technologies and services into multinationals, SMEs and newcos, throughout the world.

This announcement reaffirms Texo Group’s commitment and leadership in technology-led solutions for the markets in which it operates. Along with Texo Group investments in experienced engineers and its own PhD research team, Texo has also established several strategic partnerships with the UKs leading universities in robotics and asset management, including a strategic partnership with Heriot Watt University, which is the UK’s National Robotics Centre. These relationships will support clients with a pipeline of world leading innovation in software, sensors and robotics, that is field ready.

iHUB, with its own dedicated team of specialists, already have a number of high-profile projects including the development of autonomous self-certifying robotic solutions, Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) unmanned aerial vehicles, system level prognostics asset management solutions and a number of advanced NDT technologies.
